I wanted something easy and quick (something I thought did not come easily when you are trying to lose weight). On the contrary, it was simple AND easy, and that was made possible by setting my mind to one goal. My major challenge was and is chocolate. I LOVE CHOCOLATE. Anything chocolate. Having a weekly meal plan to follow really helped me to see what I could and could not eat to get the proper nutrition I needed to stay energized and motivated. I used the meal planner religiously, even throughout the holidays. My biggest challenges were portion sizes, snacking and keeping myself motivated. I realized that not going to the gym meant that I would be sitting on my butt at home and what good is that? At least making the effort to go to the gym and be present in my workouts would motivate me, and it did. I never thought that I would be able to keep off AND lose 10 pounds over the holidays! On top of that weight, I lost 5 inches total from my stomach, thighs and arms resulting in my super skinny, size 5, jeans coming out of retirement!
